Brian and Jennifer Heaton have been married for almost 13 years now. They have one biological son that is five years-old now, who would make a wonderful big brother. They have been trying to grow their family for several years now, but after going down many different avenues, have come to the realization that God is leading them to adopt. They began a Russian adoption in 2011 and, after being accepted, they decided to cancel the adoption in the Summer of 2012. At the time, they didn’t know why God was tugging on their hearts to stop the adoption, but they trusted in Him. In the Winter of 2012 they realized why they had stopped the adoption from continuing. Russia had closed its doors to U.S. adoptions and those that were ongoing.
Brian and Jennifer still believed in adoption, but didn’t know from where. They began to think about waiting children. They didn’t realize there were so many waiting children that just need a chance to be given a normal life. While looking at waiting children on the Internet they came across Kaia on Reece’s Rainbow. When they saw her they knew that she was the one for them. They would love to give Kaia the life that she deserves. If she is not adopted then she will not have a chance to go to Kindergarten next year. Instead, she will go to an institution. She deserves to go to Kindergarten, have the best medical treatment and have a family that loves her.
Adoption is one of the greatest gift you can give a child, it is also very expensive. Brian and Jennifer would appreciate any help that you could give them. They always remember that God is in control and He will provide the things we need.
