Cody and Merry were blessed to grow up in the same rural mining and farming community. After dating a little in high school, they attended different colleges and served church missions (Cody in Poland and Merry in Venezuela). Five years after high school, they reconnected and were married in 2000. Cody works as an attorney and before their children came, Merry worked as a behavior specialist with special needs children. They are blessed to have four happy, energetic children (ages 9-2).
Early in their marriage, Cody and Merry developed valued friendships with children and adults with special needs through the Utah State University Special Olympics and by planning and attending weekly activities for a church-based group of teenagers and adults, called the Cache Valley Special Needs Mutual.
They know that the Lord is in the details of their lives and has led them to seek out and adopt a child with Down Syndrome from Eastern Europe. Please join them in their journey to find their “little-one.” They request your prayers and support as they move forward to bring him home.
