Clay and Jenny met their freshman year at Baylor University. They have been married almost 10 years and have two biological children. Their son, Jack, is 6 years old and their daughter, Chandler, is 3 years old. Clay works in Marketing for a publishing company and Jenny works part time as an RN. They have lead a full happy life and they thought their family was complete, until about 6 months ago. The topic of adoption was something that Clay and Jenny discussed on and off during their dating years and early years of marriage. But the past 6 years since having children, those desires were pushed aside while caring for their biological children. This past fall, God started to stir up the idea in Clay’s heart again. And one night, while reading a friend’s blog, Jenny discovered Reece’s Rainbow. The blog was advocating for a Down’s syndrome child and Jenny immediately felt that it was now time to answer God’s calling for their lives and start the adoption process. Amazingly enough, the very next day at church was adoption Sunday. Clay and Jenny both knew it was time and there was no turning back. Clay and Jenny have been blessed tremendously the past few months by this process. They are so excited to bring “Matthew” home and give him the life that he deserves.
