Hermann and Erin met in 2009 when he picked her up at the airport as a favor to a mutual friend. Hermann had just graduated from an Orthodox Christian seminary, and Erin was starting her first job as a pediatric nurse. When she looked for him online, one of the first things she noticed was that he was always the one playing with the kids.
They married in 2011 and moved to MN where Erin started work as a PICU nurse. They were on the fence about kids when they got married – not sure how to come by them, or how many, but there would be kids. They started donating to Reece’s Rainbow when one of Erin’s patients introduced them to it, and it was only a matter of time before the children convinced them that adoption was the way God wanted them to go. When their beloved god son was born with Down Syndrome, it sealed their fate because they couldn’t imagine a child like him growing up anywhere but in loving arms. With Erin’s nursing experience, and Hermann’s love of children, it seemed natural. They started praying for Marshall’s family to find him the day he got listed. He just kept waiting, but the wait is over! They are so excited to bring him home and give him all the loving home experiences a child needs.
They thank you in advance for your prayerful support in this journey to their son.
