We are Chad and Melanie from Northern California. During 2014, we adopted two boys (ages 6 and 10) from China. They joined our girls, ages 4 and 5. Both of our boys live with special needs. Our younger son spent 1 out of every 6 days at the hospital during his first year home. Thankfully, he is healthy with medical needs that are now easily managed. After such a busy year and still in the process of paying off our last trip to China, this adoption was certainly not in our plans. However, after seeing our daughter appear on various Facebook groups, we felt called to pursue her adoption. According to her file, she will age out (and no longer be available for adoption) on February 14, 2016. We just started the process at the end of September and there is very little time for us to gather the monies necessary to complete this adoption. Due to the closure for Chinese New Year, we will need to be in China during the last week of January. Please consider being a part of our daughter’s story and help bring her home. Thank you!
