We are a larger family who has been blessed with children through adoption and birth. For some reason the plan for our kids was that they would all have special needs or “unique abilities” as we say in our family. Though it took some adjustment to begin with, today we would could not imagine living life any other way. We realize how much more we have gained and learned by having to learn how to navigate medical and educational settings on a frequent basis. As a family, we have a huge heart and mission for orphans and especially those with special needs.
Though we thought we were done adding more children to our family, God had different plans for us and we are so thankful for that. Patience is aging out in October and we are in the final stretch to bring her home before she ages out. Though her special needs of cerebral Palsy and limited lower mobility is a new one for our family, we all agreed that she was meant for us all along; a perfect match into our busy and at times crazy family.
